Does Plant Based Dry Shampoo leave a white cast?

No. The rice and tapioca powders appear white at first but turn colorless once applied, making it suitable for all hair colors.

With any dry shampoo, it’s best to work the powder in with your fingers or a brush. Blasting the roots with cool air also helps to evenly disperse and get an extra boost of volume.

Does Plant Based Dry Shampoo have a fragrance?

No. We chose to create an unscented formula as perfumes and artificial fragrances can be irritating to the scalp. However, the rice and tapioca powders will naturally help to neutralize odors.

How long will a bottle of Plant Based Dry Shampoo last?

Typically 3-4 months, depending on hair type, lifestyle, and routine. In the absence of unnecessary and irritating additives (e.g., aerosols, alcohols), the bottle may appear smaller. However, the formulation of just 6 functional ingredients effectively absorbs excess residue, adds lift and texture, and most importantly, protects the scalp health.

Powder > aerosol for traveling and LOVE it
Best dry shampoo I've ever tried! The powder is light but effective, and I love that it isnt an aerosol spray so I can take it in my handbag on flights. Truly obsessed and works wonders on my bleached blonde but natural brunette, thick, always oily hair!

I LOVE all of the Act & Acre products.
I am writing this review with the yummy restorative mask in my hair!!! I tried the dry shampoo yesterday for the first time and loved that it was a powder and really gave me an extra day of great hair in-between shampoos.

My long hair has been bleached and colored (highly processed) since I was 24 years old and I am now approaching 62 (do the math) and the health & shine are very important to me! Act & Acre haircare not only keeps my hair healthy, but also enhances the color.

I wash my long hair every 3-4 days so as to not over tacks it with blow drying heat. The dry shampoo gives me that extra day of great looking hair!
I also love the fact that Act & Acre hair products get a GREAT rating from EWG for their clean ingredients!!!!

I highly recommend all of Act & Acre's haircare products!

Lightweight and no scent
Very pleased with this dry shampoo. I’ve spent a lot of time trying tons of other brands and though I loved Bumble & Bumble’s pret a powder (it smells amazing), it did weigh my hair down. I was also using Living Proof, which I also really liked but after a few years of using it, the scent became too much. This dry shampoo is super light weight and has no scent. I got it on sale, so I was okay paying that price for the amount.
